So this is kinda like the small reward I get.
I got this tip from somewhere, I can't remember but it goes something like this..
"To help yourself stay on track, finish up the required task and give yourself a small reward after completing it"
*big smiles*
I've been wanting to post something from my Easter break but I don't know where to start (plus I've got work to finish up). We (Syidi & I) actually managed to go to 10 cities in 10 days!! Betul, tak tipu.
Trust me I've been scratching my head ever since I got back on how we were able to do that.
*scratch again*
First of all can I proudly say that I planned the whole trip. Yep, me! *pat myself on the back* and it made me feel even appreciated that Syidi kept saying thank you to me the whole trip and after the trip... *blushing*
We started our journey flying from Manchester (coz it's cheaper from there instead of Newcastle) to Brussels, took a bus from Brussels to Amsterdam using Eurolines, flew from Amsterdam to Berlin, Berlin to Munich by flight as well, and then from Munich to Mannheim by train.
So you ask me "that is only like 5 cities, where do the remaining 5 fall to place?"
Well trick is in Amsterdam we went to another 2 small cities (or towns) about 30-40 mins away, in Munich we visited a castle at a town called Fussen, and then in Mannheim we took a day trip to Stuttgart and Heidelberg. So all that sums up to 10 cities/towns. **big clap** ^^
Here's a sneak peek to the places we went...

Now why the heck do we wanna do that? Basically to cut cost and make full use of our time in those places. Seriously speaking we are FAST, like literally FAST travelers. Not to say we rush, we enjoy the moment and c'mon we're still young...... considerably young?? We'll get back to that.
We woke up really early like 6.30 to 7am, got out from the hotel by 8 or 8.30, spent the whole day out and reaching back to the hotel around 8 or 9pm.
Yes, we are crazy, and yes we walk almost the whole time. That's why we are called....
***drum roll please***
The #RaNawayfarers!! Which stands for "Rasyidi and Nadiah are wayfarers." Nooo, not lame lah okayyy! Lol. And yes i do wear wayfarer sunnies and then Syidi copycat me and got himself one from the Amsterdam airport. Haha
Look at us, picnic in front of the castle..eating kebabs..sunbathing...our wayfarers...ehem |
Oh yea that reminds me, I'm thinking of changing my blog name now.
Heh ^^V
Ok focus. Our schedule was packed, we really put ourselves on a strict budget (not tight), eat cheap (but sometimes we cheat also to indulge lah :p), free but knowledgeable tours, cheapest public transport option (day tix are the best), or we just walk. We literally walked the whole time in Amsterdam city, walked the whole day in Brussels, and then in Germany not so much. It's a huge country man are you crazay?
We don't do lavish, coz we ain't got the money yall. So terpaksa lah we budget and control our spending. We spent a total, yes a TOTAL amount 500 euros pp on transport, food, museum tickets, airport shuttles, souvenirs, and tips for the tour guides for the whole trip there! Of course that does not include the flight ticks and hotels, you'll need to book way waayyy in advance for cheap options. Not bad huh? Syidi even got a pair of sunnies, and I got myself a new pair of New Balance trainers they are so comfy I tell you! Converse sucks they hurt my feet really bad. Definitely not good for a wayfarer's feet.
In the end, we had so much fun time together, I even get to meet my evil twin cister Jaja in Mannheim, went to (almost) all the places we had planned. Big plus and a big check there my friend. *Tickkk!*
Really really really happy! I'll update the next post on the individual cities! Stay tuned!! ^^
